| About halfway down the 280 steps stone steps that descend into the Gunung Kawi site near Tampaksiring, Bali. The memorial area, which dates from the 11th century C.E., is thought to be connected to the Balinese King Anak Wungsu and several of his wives. A set of tomb structures and related statues are carved into the stone outcrops along a steep gorge by the Pakerisan River. |
